Carme Artigas is a Spanish executive and entrepreneur as well as one of the most recognized expert in Big Data, IA and innovation in Spain. She was named Secretary of State for Digitalization and IA in 2020 and, since then, she has launched programmes aimed to the digitalization of SMEs, investment in high impact technologies, entrepreneurship and many more that are contributing to the digitalization transformation of Spain.

As Director General, Mats Granryd leads the GSMA in supporting its global membership through a range of industry programmes, advocacy initiatives and industry-convening events.

Markus Reinisch joined Facebook in March 2018 as the Vice President for Public Policy in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His portfolio includes the management of the company’s regional public policy strategy and key relationships with senior policy stakeholders. Prior to this, Markus was Global Public Policy Director at Vodafone, where he was responsible for leading the company’s work on developing policy strategies and engagement with policy makers. He has also held other executive policy roles within the communications industry including at Colt Group, Orange Group and Deloitte Consulting. Markus holds an LLM from the University of Warwick and a law degree from the University of Vienna.

International Human Rights Lawyer and author. She is currently a HAI Race & Tech Fellow at Stanford University. With more than fifteen years of experience working in cutting edge issues related to technology and society. She co-founded and leads the Alliance for Inclusive Algorithms.

Her work centers on ethics and legal philosophy at the intersection with technology. Member of the Spanish National Advisory Board on AI and the International Advisory Board on AI of the European Parliament’s STOA. 2018, Theodor Heuss Medal "for her contribution to a differentiated view of algorithms" with the AlgorithmWatch initiative

Margrethe Vestager is EU Executive Vice President-designate for the digital area and Commissioner for Competition. She previously served as Minister for Economic Affairs and the Interior (2011-14) and Minister for Education (1998-2001) of Denmark, and as President of the ECOFIN Council (2012). She was Political leader of the Danish Social Liberal Party (2007-14), and has worked for the Danish Ministry of Finance (1993-95). Ms. Vestager holds an MSc in Economics (University of Copenhagen).

Nadia Calviño holds degrees in Economics and Law and is member of the corps of State Economists and Trade Experts of the Spanish Administration, where she served from 1994 to 2006. Before joining the Spanish Government in 2018, she worked for the European Commission as Director General for Budget.

Ms Cristina Colom has developed her professional career in the fields of corporate communication, marketing, brand and reputation, media, and crisis management. She combines extensive experience in multilateral organisations such as the European Commission and the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), along with a long career in both the public administration (Generalitat de Catalunya) and large corporations such as the international energy company Shell. She holds a degree in Economics by the University of Barcelona, MA in European Affairs by the University of Exeter and a post-degree on Community Management and Social Media by the IL3-UB.
Cristina is currently leading Digital Future Society, an initiative from Mobile World Capital Barcelona supported by the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation that seeks to build an inclusive, equitable and sustainable future in the digital era.
