Coronavirus has ramped up the battle against misinformation. False claims and conspiracy theories are possibly harming public health in multiple ways.

Big tech companies have taken action to control misinformation related to the virus. Earlier in April, WhatsApp tightened message-forwarding limits as a response to limiting messages containing misleading or fake medical advice.

As digital users, we may also help by reporting disinformation spread through social media or by talking to the person sharing said misinformation; In most cases, they don't mean any harm and the more we educate ourselves, the sooner we'll be out of this.
