The arrival of a gig economy, the automation of routine and not so routine tasks and the
emergence of artificial intelligence have altered the labor landscape as we know it. All
signs point to the fact that the work of the future, or the future of work, will demand
above all “adaptability”. Adaptability to the new demands of the market but also to the
new demands of companies that are restructuring the ways they operate.
But, is everyone ready for this “adaptation”? Will all industries and professions evolve?
Or are some destined to disappear? And if so, how can we help people who cannot adapt
to the changes? How can we maintain this sector of society? One answer, by no means a
new idea, is getting support from the tech sector… Universal basic income.
